Who qualifies as a first responder or frontliner
When you hear these words, certain badged professions might come to mind. Police officers, firefighters, EMTs (emergency medical technicians), and paramedics. But in the wake of COVID-19, we can’t help but broaden the scope to doctors, nurses, and anyone in the healthcare field running toward the danger instead of away from it. We also recognize grocery store workers and other employees offering essential services – showing up day after day while the rest of us shelter in place.
